Ampush Interns Visit Facebook
July 30, 2014
The Ampush interns and team were pleasantly surprised by last week’s tour of the infamous Facebook Headquarters. Located at 1 Hacker Way in Menlo Park, Facebook has taken the concept of ‘workplace’ and transformed it into a village-esque campus equipped with endless options for productivity, dining, and fun.
As a Strategic Preferred Marketing Developer (sPMD) with Facebook, Ampush knew it would be a great opportunity for our interns to learn more about one of our biggest partners. On an afternoon tour of the campus, we got an inside look at the structure, culture, and energy that makes Facebook the extraordinarily successful and innovative technology company that it is today. Check out a quick recap of the tour:
We started off the tour with a quick meet and greet with our awesome tour guides, Market Development Manager, Carlos Tejuco, and Ampush’s Partner Manager, Anurag Gulati. Carlos then showed off the beautiful offices that lined the main outdoor path through the campus, and offered some insight into the hectic yet exciting work days at Facebook. The interns got a kick out of the glass-walled “fishbowl” coined for Zuckerberg’s transparent office.
The excitement didn’t drop for a second when lunch rolled around, and our group was offered everything from burgers, to pizza, to the infamous nacho bar. Definitely a big Facebook thumbs up when it came time to eat!
Talented people? Check. Amazing workspaces? Check. Great food options? Check. What else could be missing from an ‘office’ space? Of course, an on-campus arcade for employees to burn off some steam and unwind in the middle of a long day.
The tour was a great experience for the Ampush interns and employees alike, and we are so glad to be partners with such a phenomenal organization. We can’t wait to come back next year to see what new and exciting projects Facebook has in store!
