Ampush Presents How Advertisers Can Take Advantage of Facebook Open Graph
May 1, 2013
SAN FRANCISCO, Calif., May 1, 2013 – Ampush Co-Founder and Chief Product Officer, Nick Shah, presented to senior-level marketing and analytics professionals at the Interactive Insights Summit on April 30, 2013. The New Orleans event focused on ways to leverage real-time data and marketing analytics. Shah presented about the Facebook advertising landscape with the new era of News Feed and Open Graph.
Shah explained how any advertiser can find success on Facebook’s News Feed. Being successful and earning engagement on News Feed requires Referred Intent, the powerful force that drives people to try things their friends like. Advertisers should start with content hyper-personalized for users to drive engagement. Next, user engagement with the content creates ‘voice of friend’ stories which can be amplified with paid media. The economics of virality and paid media have demonstrated that ‘voice of friend’ stories lead to more clicks thereby lowering the cost of promotion on Facebook and increasing the ROI of a given campaign.
Shah also told the engaged audience that, “Open Graph lets the advertiser leverage the personalization of Facebook on their own properties using Facebook connect.” It provides the ability to to connect third party data seamlessly with social data. It can power real-time personal insights especially for B2C. In his conclusion, Shah noted that Facebook is a transformational platform that connects businesses and consumers.
